BUDVAR CONCERT AND CONGRESS CENTRE
PROJECT TYPE: CULTURAL
The Budvar Project was a proposal for a dramatic new concert and congress centre to form the cornerstone of a major new residential and commercial development near the historical centre of Budvar. inspiration for the project design was drawn from a number of sources including biological forms such as the stingray. the projects sleek black roof was proposed to be covered with black glazed photo-voltaic discs to create a shimmering skin that would float above the transparent glazed perimeter walls.
Yaniv peer had the pleasure of working closely with the sterling prize winning and visionary architect Jan Kaplicky on this project and its with great thanks to the Kaplicky Centre that Iguana Architects is able to show this work.
